Roberto Voerzio
In the heart of Piedmont, among the prestigious hills of Barolo, stands the winery of Roberto Voerzio, a name that echoes like a legend among wine lovers. Here, the land tells ancient stories, and Roberto Voerzio has been able to interpret them with unique mastery, defining a new chapter in the production of modern Barolo. His philosophy is based on obsessive care of the vineyard, with very low yields that guarantee a concentration and complexity that few others can match.
The mild climate of Piedmont and the soils rich in minerals offer an ideal terroir for the varieties of Nebbiolo and Barbera, grapes that Roberto cultivates with an almost religious dedication. Each bunch is carefully followed, transforming the vineyards into an open-air laboratory where nature and the hand of man work in perfect harmony. His main wines, Barolo Cerequio and Brunate, are true masterpieces that reveal the depth and complexity of these lands. Barolo Cerequio presents itself with seductive notes of berries, spices and a hint of damp earth, while Brunate enchants with its scents of rose, licorice and an intriguing balsamic note.
Every sip of Roberto Voerzio's wines is an invitation to discover the power and refinement of Barolo, a sensory journey through time and space that only a master of Voerzio's caliber can offer. Let yourself be seduced by the magic of his labels, available on Vino45, and live an unparalleled wine experience, where tradition meets innovation and excellence is always at home.

THE COMPANY
Legend in the world of wine and in particular of Barolo, Roberto Voerzio founded his winery in 1986 in La Morra, a small hamlet in the heart of the Langhe. Initially extended for only 2 hectares, today the vineyard covers 20, thanks to the acquisition over the years of the most prestigious and historic crus for the production of Barolo, such as La Serra, Brunate, Cerequio, Sarmassa, Rocche dell'Annunziata, Fossati, Case Nere, and excellent vineyards for Dolcetto, Barbera, Nebbiolo and Merlot. Manual fertilization with cow manure or humus, very short pruning with 5-8 buds per plant, two successive thinning and a very low yield guarantee Voerzio to harvest every year only very healthy and ripe grapes, rich in sugars, aromas and perfumes. In all the various operations in the cellar, Roberto Voerzio does not use any substance that could alter the nature of the wine. Alcoholic fermentation can last up to 30 days and occurs spontaneously without the addition of yeasts. Following malolactic fermentation in steel tanks, all wines, except Dolcetto, are aged in wood. The wines of the Voerzio winery do not undergo any filtration and have a great aptitude for aging: the vigneron in fact recommends drinking them after at least 5-6 years of bottle aging and states that they are able to evolve over 20-30 years . Thanks to his meticulous, almost maniacal work, and to a very careful research, Voerzio is able to produce wines of extraordinary purity and of the highest quality, elegant and capable of expressing the territory in the best possible way. Wines that cannot be missing in the cellars of every great wine lover.
