The Brunello di Montalcino 'Ugolaia' by Lisini is a wine of incredible expressive finesse created by a historic family from Montalcino. The vineyards are located in the most fortunate areas of Montalcino, beautifully positioned on the most famous cru: the enclave of Sesta. In the cellar, Lisini vinifies with a classic approach, striving to maintain the elegant and sober style that has made its name famous worldwide. This red captivates with the warm brightness of its garnet color, the passionate notes of dark fruit, and the imperceptible, balanced, and expressive tannic structure. Refined and sumptuous, the Ugolaia with its elegant territorial character tells the story of the winemaking tradition of Siena.

THE COMPANY
It is very difficult to pinpoint the founding date of the Lisini Agricultural Company; in fact, one must go back to the 16th century to find the first traces in the family's documents. Since then, through various generations, the activity and ownership of the company have been passed down from father to son, with the only exception, at the end of the 19th century, of Alessandro Lisini, who dedicated his life not to agriculture, but to study and politics. His son Lodovico, on the other hand, does not follow in his father's footsteps and returns to nature, giving new impetus to the production of Brunello.
The beating heart of the company, cellars and offices, is located 8 kilometers from the center of Montalcino, in the hamlet of Sant’Angelo in Colle. The ancient farmhouse, where the company is based, is surrounded by 154 hectares of land, 20 of which are covered by vineyards; the Eocene soil, fresh and porous, the fresh sea breezes that reach to temper the climate through the nearby Maremma, and the absolute absence of fog create the ideal environmental conditions for the production of Sangiovese Grosso, the only grape variety present in the vineyards, which gives us this wonderful wine that is the Brunello di Montalcino signed by Lisini.
