Porto White 10 Years Old by Butler Nephew & Co. is obtained from a blend of white grape varieties (malvasia, viosinho, rabigato) carefully selected and aged in wood for 10 years. It is an intense, sweet, rich and elegant fortified wine, excellent also in summer served cold. Excellent as an aperitif also in Porto Tonic.

Butler Nephew & Co. was founded in 1730 in Porto, Portugal, by H. Burmester and John Nash who, like most British companies of that era, were merchants, under the name of Burmester, Nash & Co In 1789 Nash and Burmester disbanded the company and James Butler, then company employee, became a partner, renaming the company Nash, Butler & Co. Twenty years later, Butler made a business partnership with Mr. Nash, Mr. Nash's nephew. The company then became Butler, Tyndale & Co. In 1829 James Butler's nephew, Robert Butler, joined the company, turning the name back into Butler, Nephew & Co. They carry on a very conservative and exclusive trade, treating only the more expensive and high quality wines, establishing business relationships that still exist today, such as the one with Christie's Port Wine Producer & Shipper, Ldt, which currently owns the Butler Nephew & Co. brand.
