The Sauvignon Blanc Cicinis by Attems originates in the heart of Collio Friulano, from a 5-hectare cru planted on marl soils (ponca) at around 200 meters above sea level, ideal for enhancing freshness and aromatic expression. The microclimate, tempered by the sea and protected by the Julian Alps, promotes a slow and complex ripening. The grapes are harvested by hand; part undergoes fermentation in 20-hl oak barrels, while the rest ferments in stainless steel. This is followed by 9 months of lees aging, with regular bâtonnage to enrich structure and depth. In the glass, it shows a straw-yellow hue with greenish highlights. On the nose, it delivers intense notes of tropical fruit, tomato leaf, sage, and flint. The palate is savory, broad, and elegant, with vibrant freshness and a long, mineral finish. A refined white wine, perfect with shellfish, asparagus, or fresh cheeses.
