The Ultimate Whisky Company's 'Craigellachie' 2009 13 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky is matured in a blend of ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks. The former brings out the vanilla, toffee and fudge notes, while the latter provides richness and complexity. Because the casks are different each time, the character of the product can constantly change. No caramel is added, so the colour always corresponds to the cask it came from. It is only matured in the best casks and bottled without chill filtration, so all the original flavours remain. Fruity and spicy with hints of dried malted barley. It comes from Speyside. Limited production and numbered bottles. Full cask details are on the label.
