Single Malt Scotch Whisky 'Ardmore' 2003 Distillery Labels 19 Years (700 ml. boxed) - Gordon & Macphail
Single Malt Scotch Whiskey 'Ardmore' was distilled by Ardmore in 2003 and bottled in 2022 by Gordon & Macphail. Aged 19 YO. The Ardmore distillery produces a single malt with an unusual, aromatic and smoky flavour. This is due to the locally sourced Aberdeenshire peat, cut by the Northern Peat & Moss Company of St. Fergus, 40 miles away. This peat is totally different from the sea peat: it is richer in carbon notes and lacks sphagnum, the typical iodine note of Islay. On the nose sweet notes of currants, licorice and fresh mint. Aromas of lemon peel, ginger and sweet smoke. taste of stewed raspberry, orange peel, cooked apple and notes of black pepper. Full finish, with notes of oak and summer berries. Optimal.
