Franciacorta Blanc de Blancs Nature '61 by Berlucchi is a wine made from only Chardonnay grapes harvested in the third ten days of August from the Arzelle vineyard. Preparation of the cuvée in the spring following the harvest, exclusively with 100% wines of the vintage. Second fermentation in the bottle and subsequent aging on the lees for at least 5 years, followed by another 6 months after disgorgement. Ample and deep sparkling wine, with a marked acidity. Intense straw yellow with shades of old gold, it has a bouquet characterized by notes of ripe yellow fruit, candied apricot and a finish with light notes of licorice and brioche bread. On the palate it is characterized by a marked acidity supported by an excellent structure. The savory finish gives longevity and tension to the sip. Millesimato recommended for the whole meal and for refined and complex dishes.

Berlucchi
In 1955, the young winemaker Franco Ziliani introduced himself to Guido Berlucchi, a cultured gentleman and owner of a historic estate in Erbusco. Berlucchi was looking for an expert to perfect his Pinot del Castello, but found a visionary partner. Ziliani, fascinated by Palazzo Lana and the centuries-old cellar, dared to propose something revolutionary: producing a classic method sparkling wine in a land linked to still wines.
Guido accepted, and with his friend Giorgio Lanciani at their side, the three pioneers began the challenge. After some experiments, in 1961 the first 3,000 bottles of Pinot di Franciacorta were born, successfully uncorked the following year. It was the dawn of a new wine, destined to set a precedent. In 1962, Ziliani signed another world first: Max Rosé, the first Italian classic method rosé, tailor-made for Massimiliano Imbert, a refined connoisseur of French rosé bubbles.
From that moment on, growth was constant. Berlucchi contributed decisively to the definition of the Franciacorta style and to the affirmation of the denomination itself, which in 1995 obtained the DOCG, the highest Italian quality certification. The winery became a model of reference, bringing the name Franciacorta to the world as a synonym for elegance, innovation and connection with the territory.
Today, Berlucchi continues to innovate while remaining faithful to its legacy, guided by the Ziliani family with the same passion as its origins. Every bottle born at Palazzo Lana tells a story of vision, courage and authenticity: the story of those who, first, believed that even in Franciacorta something extraordinary could be created.
