Montenero
In the vibrant heart of Salento, where the sun kisses the earth and the sea tells stories of ancient navigators, stands the Montenero winery, a jewel of modernity and passion for wine. Here, among expanses of vineyards that disappear into the horizon, Montenero has been able to create a perfect symphony between innovation and tradition, offering wines that reflect the richness and vitality of the Apulian land. The winery stands out for its excellent production under the IGT Salento denomination, a brand that guarantees quality and character.
Montenero's philosophy is based on a modern and creative approach, which enhances the natural predisposition of Salento to generate fruity and enveloping wines. The Negroamaro and Primitivo grapes, grown with care and respect for the territory, are the undisputed protagonists of this winemaking adventure. These varieties, typical of the region, are enhanced through innovative techniques, which enhance their aromatic richness and softness on the palate.
Among the top labels, the Rosso Salento and the Rosato stand out, two wines that embody the soul of Salento. Rosso Salento is a wine with a strong and enveloping character, with notes of ripe red fruits and a spicy finish that recalls the sunny lands from which it comes. The Rosato, on the other hand, is a hymn to freshness and fragrance, with floral scents and a pleasant acidity that make it perfect to accompany warm summer evenings.
Let yourself be transported by the charm of Montenero wines and discover their labels on Vino45. A journey through Salento awaits you, guided by the authentic flavors and emotions that only great wines can give.

THE WINE
Nerello Mascalese di Montenero is made from a blend of 60% Nerello Mascalese and 40% Nerello Cappuccio, located in the Grotta Paglia Castiglione di Sicilia district, on the volcanic terraces of Etna at about 750 meters above sea level. THE COMPANY
Montenero has started on the slopes of Etna at 750 meters above sea level by the Bertino family who, being owners of a medium-small breeding of Nerello Mascalese, decided to take the path of winemakers, something quite appreciated by the eldest son, a person who has been following the activity for over a year. Bertino Francesco (grandfather of the present heir) began in 1955 by buying this vineyard for work purposes, he worked on it for almost 5 years so as to bring the vineyard into production and start marketing the product. The idea was quite good and profitable but given the little interest in regularizing the company, the company was never activated, which fortunately changed with the arrival of the son Bertino Vincenzo who, dedicating himself to the fact, managed to regularize the thing and start producing in a fiscal and systematic way, taking back vineyards and regularizing products and reaching various brands over the years so as to further enhance the work done over the years.
