Valpolicella Ripasso Classico Superiore DOC 'Malavoglia' 2020 (750 ml.) Ca' La Bionda

Ripasso 'Malavoglia' by Ca' La Bionda is made from vineyards located in a hilly position, at a variable altitude ranging from 150 to 300 meters above sea level. The soil, predominantly calcareous-loamy, gives the wine great freshness and elegance, essential characteristics for long-lived wines. Ripasso is an ancient technique that involves the refermentation of vintage Valpolicella on the skins of Amarone and Recioto. The fermented skins are then reused, rich in colour, aromas and sugars, which allow a second fermentation of the Valpolicella wine to increase its quality. Aging takes place in oak barrels for approximately 18 months. This Ripasso is completely dry, in the Cà la Bionda style, freshness and elegance accompany a great structure.

Ca' la Bionda

In the heart of Valpolicella Classica, one of the most fascinating regions of Veneto, lies the Ca' la Bionda winery. Here, among hills that seem painted and vineyards that breathe history with every puff, the Castellani family has intertwined their life with that of the land, keeping alive a tradition that is lost in time. Founded way back in 1902, Ca' la Bionda is a winery that has been able to guard the secrets of the past, while embracing an organic and environmentally friendly vision.

The vineyards of Ca' la Bionda thrive on rich and varied soils, where the Corvina and Rondinella grapes find their ideal habitat. Here, nature reigns supreme, and respect for it translates into organic farming practices that enhance the quality and authenticity of the fruits. The production approach is traditional, but not anachronistic; rather, it is a journey towards the essence of wine, a return to the soul of Valpolicella.

The jewel of Ca' la Bionda is undoubtedly the Amarone Classico, a wine that embodies the elegance and complexity of the region. It is a nectar that tells stories of passion and dedication, with notes of ripe fruit, spices and a touch of dark chocolate that delights the senses and warms the soul. Every sip is a tribute to time and patience, care and mastery.

Let yourself be seduced by the wines of Ca' la Bionda available on Vino45: discover the magic of a winery that knows how to transform the earth into liquid poetry, celebrating the great winemaking tradition of Valpolicella.
