Barolo DOCG 'del Comune di Barolo' 2018 (750 ml.) - Marchesi di Barolo

Barolo 'del Comune di Barolo' by Marchesi di Barolo is made from grapes that come exclusively from estate vineyards in the municipality of the same name on gently sloping hills. Nebbiolo extracts an abundance of mineral salts and trace elements from the compact clay and limestone soils which enrich its structure, and extracts fragrant and spicy aromas from the loose sand and silt soils. The desire is to obtain the assembly that realizes the harmonious synthesis of the characteristics of the vintage. Matures for at least 18 months in oak barrels of different capacities. Intense and persistent bouquet with clear hints of spices, cinnamon, absinthe, tobacco and wild rose. The taste is full and elegant, with soft and enveloping tannins. The spicy and woody blend perfectly.

Marchesi di Barolo

In the heart of the suggestive hilly landscape of the Langhe, where the morning mist envelops the rows in a silent embrace, stands the prestigious Marchesi di Barolo winery. With roots that date back to 1807, this historic winery is a pillar of the Piedmontese winemaking tradition, a silent witness to the transformation of Barolo into one of the most famous wines in the world.

Located in the village of Barolo of the same name, Marchesi di Barolo masterfully cultivates the Nebbiolo grape variety, the beating heart of its most iconic labels. Here, the land intertwines with history, giving life to wines that are the fruit of a perfect balance between tradition and innovation. The winery has been able to combine ancient wisdom with modern winemaking techniques, maintaining a deep respect for the territory and its peculiarities.

Among the pearls of production, Cannubi and Sarmassa stand out, two Barolos that embody the very essence of these lands. Cannubi, with its velvety tones and a complexity that slowly reveals itself, tells of sunny hills and breezes that caress the vineyards. Sarmassa, on the other hand, surprises with its strong structure and intense aromas, a dance of scents that evokes the richness of the land from which it comes.

Every sip of a Marchesi di Barolo wine is an invitation to immerse yourself in the Piedmontese wine culture, a journey through the history and traditions of a unique territory.
