The 'Lindenburg' by Alois Lageder is a pure Lagrein, from vines over 50 years old, cultivated using organic farming methods. It originates in the district called 'In Villa', where the Lindenburg palace stands, and extends over the lands that border the banks of the Talvera River. It has always been considered one of the most suitable areas for the cultivation of Lagrein in Alto Adige. After spontaneous fermentation, the maturation phase takes place in barriques, lasting a total of about 15 months, followed by aging in the bottle. The wine boasts an intense bouquet of ripe red fruit, chocolate, leather, and spices. It has a powerful body and beautiful structure, outlined by a tannic texture that is excellently integrated with fresh notes and has a slightly almond-like finish.

THE WINE
The 'Lindenburg' by Alois Lageder is a pure Lagrein, from vines that are over 50 years old, grown in organic agriculture. It originates in the district called 'In Villa', where the Lindenburg palace stands, and extends over the lands that border the banks of the Talvera river. It has always been considered one of the most suitable areas for cultivating Lagrein in Alto Adige. After spontaneous fermentation, the maturation phase takes place in barriques, for a total duration of about 15 months. This is followed by aging in the bottle. The wine has an intense bouquet of ripe red fruit, chocolate, leather, and spices. It has a powerful body and beautiful structure, outlined by a tannic texture that is excellently integrated with fresh traits and a slightly almond-like finish.
THE COMPANY

A true synonym of excellence, Alois Lageder over the years has demonstrated the best that Alto Adige can express in terms of personality, elegance, and territorial adherence. This result stems from a clear vision of their work, where every activity is closely linked to the others in a virtuous cycle that has culminated in the conversion of their owned vineyards to biodynamic practices.
Founded in 1823 and now in its sixth generation, the company stands out for its ability to blend tradition and innovation: "quality is always the result of many details, sometimes even minimal ones," recalls Alois Lageder, "and in all processing phases, we first try to find harmony among all the factors involved, working in harmony with nature." It's no coincidence that each wine, like few others in the region, can tell the diverse characteristics of its vineyard of origin - Alto Adige is indeed a land extremely rich in soil variety, microclimatic zones, and exposures, offering ideal conditions to produce wines with strong individuality. The grapes harvested in family-owned vineyards, about 50 hectares between Magrè, Cortaccia, Termeno, and in the area of Lake Caldaro, are grown using organic and biodynamic methods certified by Demeter. Furthermore, besides managing their own vineyards, the company collaborates with a number of trusted winegrowers from different areas of Alto Adige, vineyards that collectively cover another 110 hectares, about a quarter of which are cultivated according to biodynamic principles.
From this extraordinary context arise wines that are true ambassadors of the territory, whites and reds of great charm that make up an assortment composed of three quality levels: the Classics, the Terroir Selections, and the Masi.
