Toscana Rosso IGT 'Montesodi' 2016 (750 ml.) Frescobaldi

An iconic cru of Castello di Nipozzano Estate, Montesodi by Frescobaldi was first produced in 1974 and is made only in the finest vintages from 100% Sangiovese grapes grown in the namesake vineyard at 400 meters above sea level, the most prized area of the estate for this noble Tuscan variety. The galestro-rich soils enhance the grape's elegance and aging potential. After manual harvesting, the wine undergoes fermentation in stainless steelextended maceration, and matures for about 18 months in 30-hl French oak casks, followed by bottle aging. The result is an intense and aristocratic red, with notes of black cherry, dried violet, licorice, and sweet spices. On the palate, it is broad, structured, and vibrant, with silky tannins and extraordinary persistence. An exceptionally elegant and expressive Sangiovese, capable of aging gracefully for decades.

frescobaldi_870x360.jpg

Nestled in the beautiful Tuscan lands, where time seems to have stopped to celebrate the beauty of nature and the art of winemaking, the Frescobaldi winery tells a story that spans generations. It is one of the oldest wine families in Italy, with roots that sink into a past rich in tradition and innovation. With a presence that embraces the most prestigious denominations of Tuscany, such as the DOCG Chianti, Brunello and Bolgheri, Frescobaldi stands out for a modern approach that, however, never forgets to respect the history and terroir that surrounds it.

The Frescobaldi estates are a mosaic of winemaking excellence, where each vineyard is cared for with dedication and love for the land. Here, under the warm Tuscan sun, Sangiovese, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes are born, each an expression of a unique territory and an unparalleled savoir-faire. Frescobaldi's production philosophy is a perfect balance between tradition and innovation, where ancient wisdom blends with the most modern winemaking techniques to create wines with a distinctive and unmistakable character.

Among the labels that make up Frescobaldi's prestigious portfolio, Nipozzano and CastelGiocondo stand out, two wines that embody the essence of Tuscany. Nipozzano, with its enveloping structure and intense aromas, is the perfect companion for those who wish to explore the depth of Tuscan wines. CastelGiocondo, on the other hand, is a Brunello di Montalcino with a refined and complex character, capable of recounting, sip after sip, the magic of a legendary territory.

Let yourself be won over by the elegance and mastery of Frescobaldi wines, available on Vino45. An invitation to discover a world where history, innovation and passion for wine intertwine in an unparalleled sensory experience.
