Lacrima

The Lacrima grape is one of the autochthonous black grape varieties of the Marche region, also known by the name of the wine obtained, the Lacrima di Morro d'Alba. It is an indigenous grape variety from the Marche region, of ancient origin. Over the centuries, the spread of the Lacrima grape has narrowed more and more until it is limited to the only area of its origin, Morro d'Alba. In the 1980s it was protected with modern crops and with the designation of origin.

Lacrima di Morro d'Alba 'Diana' by Filodivino is a 100% organic Lacrima di Morro d'Alba. Compared to the other Lacrima di Morro d'Alba it is mineral and sapid, due to the limestone soil in which it grows and the proximity to the Adriatic Sea. The combination of an excellent fragrance with a good tannic structure distinguishes Diana from other Lacrima. The color is intense red studded with purple hues, the nose suggests notes of violet and dog rose accompanied by currants, blackberries and blueberries. In the mouth the sensation is enveloping, sweetened by hints of forest fruit, wild strawberries and bramble. Good structure, with soft and fine tannins. It is astonishing if combined with typical broths from the Marche region.

Lacrima di Morro d'Alba Superiore 'Soara' by Filodivino  is a 100% organic Lacrima di Morro d'Alba. It takes its name from Sighişoara in Romania, a symbol of the revenge and the victory that derived from it. Son of a year of rest in steel on its fine lees, Soara has the taste of the true Lacrima di Morro d'Alba of the best tradition, with intense notes of violets, roses, red fruits and jam, well-structured, elegant, with tannins refined. The finish is intense and a pleasant fruity aroma remains in the mouth. Ideal to accompany a substantial traditional meal, starting with cold cuts and aged cheeses. Following the Marche's fat, giblets sauces and, finally, red meats, roasts, grilled or game.
