'Capichera Vendemmia Tardiva (Late Harvest)' by Capichera is a 100% Vermentino whose grapes are harvested late, when each bunch is saturated with sugars and olfactory components, giving greater complexity to the wine. Aging in oak barrels for a total of 4 months. A wide range of aromas, in which floral notes alternate with touches of lavender and references to the Mediterranean scrub. Warm, full and round, it opens up to a mineral and citrusy taste. Long and pleasant finish, with good persistence, perfect at the end of a meal with desserts, but also with semi-aged cheeses.

Capichera
In the enchanting scenery of Sardinia, a land of ancient traditions and breathtaking landscapes, stands the renowned Capichera winery. Located in a region that is a true treasure trove of biodiversity, Capichera has transformed its passion for wine into a mission: to enhance the potential of Vermentino, the island's symbolic grape variety. Founded with the aim of exploring and rediscovering the winemaking riches of Sardinia, the winery has gained a prominent position in the Italian wine scene.
The territory in which Capichera has its roots is that of the IGT Isola dei Nuraghi denomination, an area that brings to mind ancient civilizations and natural wonders. Here, under a clear sky and a generous sun, the Vermentino and Carignano vineyards absorb the sea breeze and the scents of the Mediterranean, giving the wines a unique complexity and depth. Capichera adopts a production approach that combines tradition and innovation, with rigorous respect for the environment and meticulous care for every phase of winemaking.
Vermentino, the true protagonist of the lands of Capichera, finds its maximum expression in labels such as VT and Santigaini. VT enchants with its aromatic richness and ability to evolve over time, while Santigaini, with its decisive and enveloping character, tells of intense and refined flavors. Both wines evoke the colors and scents of Sardinia, transporting those who taste them on a sensory journey through this fascinating island.
Discover the extraordinary labels signed Capichera on Vino45: an invitation to explore the authenticity and excellence of Sardinian wine production, in a meeting between tradition and innovation that enhances the best of this unique land.

THE COMPANY
The far north of Sardinia sees in Gallura an area particularly suited to viticulture. Here, in the seventies of the last century, the story of the Capichera winery began, thanks to the Ragnedda family who planted new Vermentino vineyards and built a cellar for the production of high quality wines. With a lot of enthusiasm but also with many investments and with a lot of energy, the young brothers Fabrizio and Mario Ragnedda began working in the cellar in the early 1980s, just at the moment when the first bottles of Vermentino with the Capichera label came to be marketed for the first time. Capichera currently distributes its wines internationally, and the original ten hectares of vineyards have become sixty. The quality level has seen a constant and continuous increase and at the same time, while following the path of innovation and experimentation, the typicality of each label is fully protected without compromise. Among the rows, the training system is partly guyot and partly spurred cordon, with some plants also trained as sapling, but above all every agronomic practice is adopted wisely and carefully, so as to ensure that from harvest to harvest the grapes meet the highest quality standards. In the cellar, the most ancient local traditions are admirably combined with the most modern enological technologies, so with the utmost respect for the intrinsic characteristics of the raw material, research and experimentation are continuous and constant. Each wine labeled Capichera is characterized by a great extractive concentration, a high alcoholic strength and a boost of fruit maturity. The result is that, to date, all lovers of Italian wine products know the legendary brothers Mario and Fabrizio, who have contributed in a fundamental way to change, for the better, the face of Sardinian viticulture.
