Timorasso 'Derthona' by Claudio Mariotto is a Colli Tortonesi whose grapes derive from vineyards, located at an altitude of approximately 250 meters above sea level, are grown without the use of synthetic chemical products. With 'Derthona', the ancient name of the city of Tortona, the denomination of the Colli Tortonesi is indicated. It matures only in steel for about a year and after at least a further 6 months of refinement in the bottle. Authentic and crystalline expression of Timorasso with clear hints of summer fruit, citrus peel and chamomile characterize the olfactory texture together with vivid mineral hints of flint. Lively freshness and a marked savory tone animate the progression anticipating a finish rich in fruity, floral, toasted and mineral sensations.

laudio Mariotto
In the fascinating and little-explored lands of the Tortonesi Hills, in the heart of Piedmont, lies the Claudio Mariotto winery. A refuge of tradition and innovation where the art of winemaking intertwines with the passion and dedication of a family that has made Timorasso its banner. Led by Claudio's expert hand, the winery stands as one of the main promoters of this ancient variety, a white grape that has its roots in the past and that, thanks to Mariotto's vision, has returned to shine in the present.
The DOC Colli Tortonesi denomination is a hymn to a unique territory, where the rolling hills and calcareous soils give life to wines that tell stories of authenticity and character. Here, among the lovingly tended rows, Timorasso and Barbera are mainly grown, two varieties that represent the soul of this region. Claudio Mariotto's production philosophy is a perfect combination of tradition and experimentation, with an eye always attentive to quality and respect for nature.
Timorasso, in particular, finds its maximum expression in Derthona, a wine that enchants with its structure and longevity. This white wine stands out for its complexity and depth, with mineral and fruity notes that evolve magnificently over time, offering an unforgettable sensory experience. Barbera, cultivated with the same care, offers rich and vibrant wines, authentic expressions of a territory that knows how to surprise.
