Ron de Cuba 'Gran Reserva' Añejo 15 Años by Havana Club acquires its complexity of taste over an aging process of at least 15 years. Only 58 barrels of Havana Club Añejo 15 Años are produced each year, the result of a rigorous selection process, blending and multiple aging in oak barrels. Some parts of HC15 have been aged for several decades, and the strong evaporation caused by the tropical climate (the "Angel's share") helps to concentrate the flavors and create that fullness of taste that fully satisfies the connoisseur. The Añejo 15 Años presents the most spectacular elements of Cuban rum: an extraordinarily long and quality aging that produces a pleasant smoothness in the mouth, a full tannin taste and a strong fruity aroma.

Havana Club
In the heart of Old Havana, in the historic Plaza de la Catedral, the Havana Club Bar was founded in 1935, one of the symbolic places of Cuban tradition. Here, the bartenders began using a rum that would become legendary: Havana Club. Initially produced by the renowned ronera company Arechabala in Cárdenas, this excellent distillate contains the authentic spirit of Cuba.
After the 1959 revolution, the company was nationalized by the Cuban government, but the production of Havana Club continued, becoming a flag of national heritage. Over the following decades, the brand made its way into the Eastern European markets, thanks to the island's political ties with socialist countries. The great international leap, however, occurred in 1993, when the Cuban government signed a joint venture with the French multinational Pernod Ricard. Thus began the new course of Havana Club, which transformed from a local rum into a global phenomenon.
Today, Havana Club is the best-selling golden rum in Europe and is one of the most appreciated brands in the world for its quality, versatility and strong connection with Cuban culture. Used by the best bartenders in iconic cocktails such as Mojito, Daiquiri and Cuba Libre, it has become an essential ingredient in the trendiest bars, but also a perfect companion for those who love to enjoy it neat or on the rocks.
On Vino45, the platform dedicated to lovers of excellent wine and spirits, you can find the best selections of Havana Club, from aged classics to more structured blends.
