Brunello di Montalcino by Roberto Cipresso is a Brunello with character, as traditional on the whole as it is innovative in being meticulously worked in every little nuance. 100% Sangiovese, processed at a controlled temperature with selected yeasts in conical oak vats. Resting for two years in French oak barrels and tonneau. Notes of overripe red fruit, licorice, leather and wet earth. There is no shortage of shades of coffee and chocolate. Gritty but well integrated tannins and excellent structure and long persistence. It is a Brunello of excellence.

Roberto Cipresso
In the world of wine, where tradition and innovation intertwine, the figure of Roberto Cipresso emerges, an internationally renowned winemaker, an extraordinary alchemist of flavors and territories. Cipresso, with a firm foot between the Tuscan hills and the vibrant Argentine lands of Mendoza, has been able to create a cultural and winemaking bridge between two fascinating and different worlds.
In Tuscany, a land of art and ancient viticulture, Cipresso embraces the majesty of Sangiovese, the region's leading variety, working it with a mastery that only a profound connoisseur of the territory can boast. Here, among the rolling hills and sun-kissed vineyards, wines are born that bear the IGT Toscana denomination, authentic expressions of a terroir that tells stories of tradition and passion.
Crossing the ocean, we arrive in Mendoza, where Cipresso is seduced by the breathtaking landscapes and the potential of Malbec, the symbolic grape variety of Argentina. In this land of contrasts, between imposing mountains and vast deserts, Cipresso wines acquire a new dimension, marrying the strength and depth typical of Malbec, enriched by a touch of sophisticated elegance.
The Quadratura del Cerchio, the winery's emblematic label, represents the perfect synthesis between science and narration, between the precision of oenology and the art of storytelling. Every sip of this wine is a sensory journey, an encounter between past and future, between two continents that merge in an embrace of flavors.
Let yourself be transported by the suggestions of Roberto Cipresso wines, available on Vino45: an invitation to discover the art of winemaking through the lands of Tuscany and Argentina, where every bottle tells a unique and unforgettable story.

THE COMPANY
Roberto Cipresso, originally from Bassano del Grappa, began his career as a winemaker in 1987 in Montalcino, where he settled and worked for some of the most famous producers, such as Case Basse, Poggio Antico, Ciacci Piccolomini d’Aragona. After his first personal successes, his activity also extends to other areas of Tuscany and to companies located in the most important Italian regions. The birth of Winemaking, his agronomic and oenological consultancy group, dates back to 1999. His professional career has seen and also sees collaborations with some foreign companies. He is the creator and guide of the Winecircus project, a cellar-laboratory which, thanks to the possibility of taking advantage of particular vineyards and a brand new headquarters on the outskirts of Montalcino, is dedicated to carrying out research activities oriented to the different aspects of viticulture, in collaboration with Universities of Padua, Turin, Venice, Pisa, Florence, Udine and Palermo.
In 2013, Roberto starts a new adventure, with the production of his first Brunello di Montalcino. It all began when, over twenty years ago, Roberto Cipresso decided to buy and restore the ruins of an ancient farmhouse in one of the most beautiful places in the Montalcino countryside, between Castelnuovo dell'Abate and Sant'Angelo in Colle, with a view enchanting towards Monte Amiata. The house of Poggio al Sole, now a magnificent Resort dedicated to hosting vine and wine lovers from all over the world, is in fact flanked by the vineyard - a jewel of just one hectare in extension - which produces the grapes destined for Brunello di Montalcino. ; the Rosso, on the other hand, is obtained from the fruit of another plot, also with an area of less than one hectare and with an extremely suggestive aesthetic, located near the Abbey of Sant’Antimo. The first vintages produced are respectively 2013 for the Brunello and 2016 for the Rosso, and their label, with the flowery frame associated with the figures of the square and the circle, ideally recalls an adventure from the past - a company founded in Montalcino by Roberto with some partners in 1992 - as well as some symbols dear to the history of Roberto's experimental wine line, albeit in a more elegant and authoritative framework.
