'Guidalberto' by Tenuta San Guido takes its name from its ancestor Guidalberto della Gherardesca, a pioneer of agricultural conversion. It was born from Nicolò Incisa della Rocchetta's desire to use Merlot for the first time in a Bordeaux-style blend, in a blend with Cabernet Sauvignon, the one not used in Sassicaia, which gives softness and envelopingness, offering a product that can be consumed even when young. After over twenty years of analysis and experimentation, today it is a wine with a clear temperament that interprets the style of the winery well. A style that seeks aromas and sweetness on the palate, characteristics that Merlot can provide even with a relatively short refinement. Full and satisfying drinkability, with its elegant and savoury personality. Its complexity and structure determine a great potential for evolution over the years.
