The 'Vintage' Brut from Veuve Clicquot is one of the flagship Champagnes of the house, born from the excellence of a great vintage and the most prestigious vineyards of the region, using only Grand and Premier Cru grapes. The first vintage was produced in 1810 and inaugurated the concept of vintage Champagne. It fully embodies the concept of Grand Vin de Champagne, a fusion of elegance, charm, aromatic depth, played on varietal notes of fruit, flowers, and citrus combined with toasted, yeast, and dried fruit tones. Pleasant to the taste due to its beautiful tension and minerality, as well as softness and roundness. A Champagne with great longevity, characterized by harmony and balance, ideal for pairing with refined dishes based on fish and white meats.

Powerful and refined, this French winery embodies the elegance and freshness that only the greatest winemaking traditions can convey. THE WINE
The 'Vintage' Brut by Veuve Clicquot is one of the flagship Champagnes of the house, born from the excellence of a great vintage and the most prestigious vineyards of the region, using only Grand and Premier Cru grapes. Pleasant on the palate with beautiful tension and minerality, as well as softness and roundness. Champagne with great longevity, characterized by harmony and balance, ideal to accompany refined dishes based on fish and white meats.
THE MAISON

Everything began in 1772, when Philippe Clicquot, a businessman and landowner, founded “un négoce de vin à l’enseigne Clicquot”. A small reality that aspired to cross borders to make the new name of Champagne known to the entire world. In 1798, François Clicquot, son of the founder of the Maison, married Barbe Nicole Ponsardin. It was she who, after inheriting all the passion and skills for the production and marketing of Champagne from her husband, managed to grow the business to become one of the most famous and renowned Houses not only in the Reims area but throughout the Champagne region. Barbe Nicole Ponsardin, in fact, became a widow at just twenty-seven, and after her husband's death, she firmly took the reins of the company, becoming one of the first great female entrepreneurs in modern history, known to all by the title “the widow Clicquot”, or “Veuve Clicquot”, which is the very name of the Maison.
Under the guidance of the young widow, several insights were made that benefited the entire denomination. From the first vintage Champagne, that of 1810, to the perfection of the remuage technique, to the refinement of the liqueur de tirage useful for the second fermentation in the bottle, there is no aspect that she did not personally oversee.
Not to mention her great commercial skill, thanks to which Barbe Nicole Ponsardin was able in 1814 to overcome the continental blockade that immobilized Europe in trade, bringing her Champagne directly to Russia, to San Petersburg, with what is now known as “cuvée Saint Petersbourg”.
A story of excellence, in short, which currently, under the sign of the luxury group LVMH, owner of the Maison since 1986, continues thanks to Champagne with a unique personality, always recognizable in their immediate elegance and extraordinary refinement.
