Riesling 'Les Princes Abbés' by Domaine Schlumberger comes from the sun-drenched steep slopes of Guebwiller, in the heart of Alsace, where viticulture is practiced according to the principles of sustainable farming and biodiversity preservation. The vines, averaging over 30 years of age, grow on sandy and schistose soils between 250 and 390 meters a.s.l., which impart finesse and minerality. Grapes are hand-harvested, allowing careful bunch selection, followed by gentle pressing and fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. The wine is aged for 6 months on fine lees, enhancing its structure and aromatic depth. The bouquet reveals citrus fruits, white peach, white flowers, and flinty notes. On the palate, it is linear, vibrant, and saline, with a sharp, persistent finish. Excellent with fish, shellfish, sushi, and spicy Asian cuisine.
