The Alsace Gewurztraminer 'Les Princes Abbés' by Domaine Schlumberger originates from the sun-drenched, schist-rich slopes around Guebwiller, and stands out as an intense and seductive expression of the estate’s distinctive style. The vines, averaging 35 years of age, are grown following sustainable farming principles. Harvesting is done entirely by hand, with a rigorous double selection of the grape clusters. After a gentle pressing, the must undergoes temperature-controlled fermentation in stainless steel tanks to preserve its aromatic freshness. The wine is then aged for several months on fine lees, enhancing its structure and complexity. On the nose, it reveals lychee, rose petals, oriental spices, and exotic fruit; the palate is smooth, velvety, and persistent, with a spicy, harmonious finish. Perfect with Asian cuisine, blue cheeses, or sweet and sour dishes.
