The Ultimate Whiskey Company's Single Malt Scotch Whiskey 'Fettercairn' 2006 12 Years is a wonderful and delicate Highland whiskey, surprisingly balanced despite being a Cask Strenght at 54.1%. It is aged 12 years only in the best ex Bourbon barrels and is bottled without cold filtration, so all the original flavors remain inside. No caramel is added, so the color always matches the barrel of origin. Very fruity, slightly peppery. Apple, pear, apricot, then vanilla and oak. Long, dry finish. Since the barrels are different every time, the character of the product can change constantly. Each bottle is numbered and all the details of the barrel are mentioned on the label. Only 215 bottles produced.
