'Stilla Maris' by Tenuta Scuotto is a pure Aglianico produced only in exceptional vintages and harvested from a single particle of the vineyard, it is made in only 1,280 numbered bottles. The grapes were harvested in the third decade of October. The wine was put in barrique for about 14 months. Bottling took place without any filtration or refrigeration practice. Surprising intense ruby red, fruity aromas alternate with coffee, cocoa and pepper. Vertical and vibrant on the palate, its freshness surprises for a 2012 that wants to aim for immortality at all costs. Excellent.

The Passion for Wine and the desire for man-nature cooperation have pushed Eduardo Scuotto to settle in the Irpinia area. The innate entrepreneurial spirit, the precious collaboration of the family and the ancestral pursuit of excellence in his work have shaped his original intention, transforming it into an important and recognized wine project. This is how the Tenuta Scuotto company was born, synonymous with quality and a precise reference for those looking for wines with great personality. The spirit is to appear on the wine scene with different products that are the most faithful expression of the terroir, but which at the same time restore a unique identity for tasting. Every aspect of production is based on respect for the territory, but avoiding homologation: limited quantities to obtain the utmost care, selective harvesting done by hand and refinement are just some of the choices underlying the business management. His aspiration can be summarized in the desire to associate a bottle of Vino Scuotto with a defined lifestyle for which real pleasure does not want to compromise on quality.
