The Grappa Riserva 'Sinfonia d'Autunno' from Antica Distilleria di Altavilla, a historic distillery in Piedmont specialized in the production of long-aged single-varietal grappas, is part of the 'Special Reserves' line. It is produced in Castagnole Monferrato in the province of Asti, by artisanal producers of six generations. Made from the freshest pomace of a selection of the best Piedmontese grape varieties and distilled in steam stills, after a careful and meticulous selection of heads and tails, the grappa is aged for 15 years in fine small barrels of French oak, chestnut, and ash. Smooth and enveloping with hints of berries, with remarkable aromatic persistence. Excellent.

THE GRAPPA
The Grappa Riserva 'Saeculum Tertium' from Antica Distilleria di Altavilla, a historic distillery in Piedmont specializing in the production of single-variety aged grappas, is part of the 'Special Reserves' line. It is produced in Castagnole Monferrato in the province of Asti, by artisanal producers for six generations. Made from the freshest pomace of a selection of the best Piedmontese grape varieties and distilled using steam stills, after careful and meticulous removal of the heads and tails, the grappa is aged for 15 years in fine small barrels of French oak, chestnut, and ash. Intense, it combines sweet and bitter sensations, spicy, vanilla, and cocoa notes. Full-bodied and rich flavor. A meditation grappa. Excellent.
THE DISTILLERY
Started in 1846 by Filippo Mazzetti, the family distillation activity has been passed down from father to son until today through six generations. Every year, in fact, the Antica Distilleria di Altavilla receives the best pomace from Monferrato, which gives rise to equally fine single-variety grappas. Made from the freshest pomace and distilled using steam stills, after careful and meticulous removal of heads and tails, the grappas are aged for several years in fine oak barrels and in barriques made of cherry, chestnut, almond, and French oak; until they reach complete harmony of taste and aroma, maintaining intact the floral and fruity notes. They are the result of a production process passed down with passion and expertise to the current owner, Filippo Mazzetti, along with his wife Laura and their children Fabrizio and Alessandro.
