It is produced in Castagnole Monferrato in the province of Asti, by artisanal producers with six generations of experience. Made from very fresh pomace and distilled with steam stills, after a careful and meticulous separation of heads and tails, the grappa is aged for several years in fine oak barrels and in cherry, chestnut, almond, and French oak barriques. Once a complete harmony of taste and aroma is achieved, the result is a grappa with a fine, delicate fragrance, with a typical rose note of the grape variety. On tasting, it is very refined with a vanilla aftertaste.

Made from the freshest pomace and distilled with steam stills, after a careful and meticulous selection of heads and tails, the grappa is aged for several years in fine oak barrels and in barriques of cherry, chestnut, almond, and French oak. Once a complete harmony of taste and aroma is achieved, a grappa is born with a fine, delicate fragrance, featuring a hint of rose typical of the grape variety. On the palate, it is very refined with a vanilla aftertaste.
THE DISTILLERY
Founded in 1846 by Filippo Mazzetti, the family distillation business has been passed down from father to son to this day through six generations. Every year, the Antica Distilleria di Altavilla receives the best pomace from Monferrato, which produces equally fine single-varietal grappas. Made from the freshest pomace and distilled with steam stills, after a careful and meticulous selection of heads and tails, the grappas are aged for several years in fine oak barrels and in barriques of cherry, chestnut, almond, and French oak, until a complete harmony of taste and aroma is reached, preserving the floral and fruity notes. They are the result of a production process passed down with passion and expertise to the current owner, Filippo Mazzetti, along with his wife Laura and their children Fabrizio and Alessandro.
