The Pinot Noir Hochreit from Juris is a red wine produced in Parndorf, north of Salzburg, Austria, from 20-year-old vines located on gravelly and sandy soils, high in iron and non-gypsum. The pure Pinot Noir is hand-harvested and undergoes a traditional fermentation in open oak barrels at around 28°C to promote optimal extraction. It ages in French Barriques of 225 liters. The bouquet is fruity with hints of berries, raspberries, and candied mandarin peel. On the palate, it is fruity with notes of red berries, rounded, with excellent length. Annual production 1,000-1,500 bottles.
