The Barolo 'Cerequio' by Vietti comes from grapes sourced from the historic single vineyard of 'Cerequio', one of the most important MGAs in the entire production area of Barolo. Vines with an average age of 35 years. The 2018 vintage is the first of this very important cru signed by Vietti. It ages for 32 months in large oak barrels and about a year in the bottle. On the palate, it is full-bodied, with fruity and citrus notes (strawberry, plum, cherry). The tannins are fine yet imposing, supporting a enveloping and persistent structure. The harmony and complexity of one of the most important crus stand out. In the finish, balsamic notes provide rare elegance and balance. A great Barolo, to be left in the cellar to reach its full splendor in a few years.
