'Solèr' by De Stefani is a blend of 20% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Carmenere, 20% Refosco, and 20% Marzemino. Solèr is a word from the Venetian dialect meaning attic, a barn where the grapes dry. The Marzemino and Refosco are dried, while the remaining part is vinified in a classic way at controlled temperatures. The aging in wood lasts 12 months, followed by 12 months in the bottle. It has an aroma of very ripe fruit, of prunes in alcohol, of violet, with pronounced ethereal and spicy notes. The taste is full-bodied, significant, enveloping, very velvety, and has complex tertiary aromas. Its structure and complexity allow for bottle aging for up to 15 years.
