The 'Sodale' of Famiglia Cotarella is produced with pure merlot grapes, hand-picked from a vineyard located 300 meters above sea level. After fermentation in steel, the wine is aged in wooden barrels of different origins and toasting for at least 9 months. A red wine with notes of red fruit and sweet spices that blend in perfect harmony with the vanilla notes from the wood. A round, harmonious, and pleasant wine with a finish of good persistence and sweet tannins.

Cotarella
In the suggestive crossroads between Lazio and Umbria, where tradition meets innovation, the Cotarella winery comes to life. Born from the creative flair of a family of world-renowned enologists, with Riccardo Cotarella at the helm, this winemaking reality has become a reference point for those seeking elegant and modern wines that can captivate the most discerning palates internationally.
Immersed in the lush hilly landscapes of these two Italian regions, Cotarella has managed to capture the essence of the territory, producing wines that celebrate the IGP Umbria and Lazio denominations. The grape varieties cultivated, from Grechetto to Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, reflect a wise combination of local tradition and openness to the most appreciated international varieties. These grapes, nurtured with passion and respect for the environment, give rise to wines that stand out for their distinctive character and uncompromising quality.
Among the flagship labels of the winery, Montiano and Sodale rise as authentic expressions of the style signed by Cotarella. Montiano, with its complexity and aromatic depth, reveals a wine of great charm and structure, while Sodale enchants with its elegance and softness, representing a perfect balance between tradition and modernity.
We invite all enthusiasts to discover on Vino45 the Cotarella labels, a sensory journey through the hills of Lazio and Umbria, where every sip tells a story of passion, innovation, and respect for the land.
