Collio Ribolla Gialla DOC 'Trebes' 2022 (750 ml.) Attems

The Ribolla Gialla Trebes by Attems is an elegant and territorial Friulian white wine, made from grapes grown in the hills of Collio, on marly (ponca) soils rich in minerals, at about 150-200 meters s.l.m.. The microclimate, influenced by the proximity to the sea and the Julian Alps, ensures excellent temperature variation and slow, aromatic ripening. The grapes are hand-harvested and undergo fermentation in 20 hl oak barrels, followed by aging on the lees for about 9 months, with frequent bâtonnage that enriches the body and complexity of the wine. In the glass, it appears brilliant golden yellow. On the nose, it releases notes of renetta apple, cedar peel, wildflowers, and acacia honey. The palate is broad, savory, and vibrant, with a marked freshness and a long, citrusy finish. A wine of character and structure, perfect with grilled fish, white meats, or fresh cheeses.

Attems

Nestled among the lush hills of Friuli-Venezia Giulia, the winery Attems represents a precious oenological jewel, an integral part of the prestigious Frescobaldi family. This land, kissed by the cool northern winds and the sun that caresses the vineyards, is blessed with a unique climate that enhances the soul of the cultivated grapes, making Collio and Isonzo ideal territories for the production of exceptionally elegant white wines.

Attems has managed to make its traditional approach a strength, remaining true to the roots of the Friulian territory while embracing innovation. Its vineyards, tended with dedication, host grape varieties that best express the identity of this region: Pinot Grigio, with its freshness and versatility, and Sauvignon, known for its intense aromas and strong character.

Among the flagship labels, Cicinis stands out as a symbol of refinement and complexity, a wine that tells the story of sun-kissed hills and skilled hands that transform grapes into pure liquid poetry. The Pinot Grigio from Attems, on the other hand, offers a sensory experience that captivates the palate with floral and fruity notes, reflecting the brightness of the Friulian territory in every sip.

Let yourself be carried away by the magic of Attems wines on Vino45, and discover how tradition and innovation blend to offer an authentic expression of Collio and Isonzo, inviting you on an unforgettable journey through the flavors of Friuli-Venezia Giulia.

Color: Bright golden yellow, luminous and deep, anticipating the evolution and importance of the wine. The warm and intense hue reflects the aging on the lees and the use of large barrels.

Bouquet: Broad and layered, where notes of renetta apple, cedar peel, and wildflowers intertwine. Honeyed sensations of acacia emerge along with spicy and mineral hints that evoke the Friulian ponca, contributing to a complexity that unites freshness and warmth.

Taste: Full, savory, and vibrant. The acidic freshness is well integrated into a enveloping and creamy structure, given by aging in wood and bâtonnage. It finishes with a long, citrusy trail, highlighting the balance between minerality, softness, and tension. A wine with personality, capable of evolving elegantly over time.
