Collio Ribolla Gialla DOC 'Trebes' 2022 (750 ml.) Attems

The Ribolla Gialla Trebes by Attems is an elegant and terroir-driven white wine from Friuli, made from grapes grown on the Collio hills, on mineral-rich marl soils (ponca) at about 150–200 meters above sea level. The microclimate, influenced by the proximity to the sea and the Julian Alps, ensures excellent temperature variation and slow, aromatic ripening. The grapes are hand-harvested and undergo fermentation in 20 hl oak barrels, followed by aging on the lees for about 9 months, with frequent bâtonnage to enhance the wine’s body and complexity. In the glass, it shows a bright golden yellow hue. The bouquet reveals notes of Reinette apple, citron zest, wildflowers, and acacia honey. On the palate, it is broad, savory, and vibrant, with marked freshness and a long, citrusy finish. A wine of character and structure, ideal with grilled fish, white meats, or fresh cheeses.

Attems

Nestled among the lush hills of Friuli-Venezia Giulia, the Attems winery represents a precious oenological jewel, an integral part of the prestigious Frescobaldi family. This land, kissed by the cool winds of the north and the sun that caresses the vineyards, is blessed with a unique climate that enhances the soul of the grapes grown, making the Collio and Isonzo ideal territories for the production of white wines of extraordinary elegance.

Attems has managed to make its traditional approach a strong point, remaining faithful to the roots of the Friuli territory while embracing innovation. Its vineyards, cared for with dedication, are home to grape varieties that best express the identity of this region: Pinot Grigio, with its freshness and versatility, and Sauvignon, known for its intense aromas and strong character.

Among the top labels, Cicinis stands out as a symbol of refinement and complexity, a wine that tells the story of sun-kissed hills and expert hands that transform grapes into pure liquid poetry. Attems Pinot Grigio, on the other hand, offers a sensory experience that captures the palate with floral and fruity notes, reflecting the brightness of the Friulian territory in every sip.

Let yourself be transported by the magic of Attems wines on Vino45, and discover how tradition and innovation blend to offer an authentic expression of the Collio and Isonzo, inviting you on an unforgettable journey through the flavors of Friuli-Venezia Giulia.

Color: Bright, luminous and deep golden yellow, which anticipates the evolution and importance of the wine. The warm and intense tone reflects the aging on the yeasts and the use of the large barrel.

Bouquet: Wide and layered, where notes of rennet apple, cedar peel and wild flowers chase each other. Honeyed sensations of acacia and spicy and mineral hints emerge that evoke the Friulian ponca, contributing to a complexity that combines freshness and warmth.

Taste: Full, savoury and vibrant. The acidic freshness is well integrated into an enveloping and creamy structure, given by the aging in wood and bâtonnage. It closes with a long and citrusy trail, which underlines the balance between minerality, softness and tension. A white with personality, capable of evolving with elegance over time.
