Sicilian Frappato IGT 'Albaria' Rosé by Pellegrino is a refined expression of the indigenous grape variety Frappato, grown in Western Sicily in the vineyards of Tenuta Gazzerotta, a historic property of the Pellegrino family. The grapes, harvested at perfect ripeness between late August and early September, are vinified in white with a short cold maceration to enhance freshness and aromaticity. The fermentation takes place in stainless steel at controlled temperature, followed by aging always in steel for about 4 months to preserve the fruit's fragrance. The result is a rosé with a brilliant pale pink color, which on the nose releases notes of pomegranate, wild strawberry, and rose petals. On the palate, it is fresh, balanced, and smooth, with a savory vein that recalls the sea. Perfect with raw fish, couscous, or fresh cheeses.
