THE WINE

The Toscana Rosato ‘Alìe’ by Frescobaldi is a refined Tuscan rosé, inspired by the marine nymph of mythology, born from the selection of Syrah and Vermentino grown in the Tenuta Ammiraglia, in the heart of Maremma. The vineyards enjoy an ideal exposure and sea breezes that favor perfect aromatic maturation. After the hand harvest, the grapes undergo soft pressing, with fermentation at low temperature in stainless steel, to preserve the freshness and aromatic elegance. The color is pale pink with coppery reflections. On the nose, it expresses notes of pomegranate, white peach, orange blossoms, and a salty hint. The taste is fine, fresh, and mineral, with a balanced and persistent finish. Perfect as an aperitif or paired with seafood, fish tartare, and Mediterranean cuisine.

THE COMPANY

No other Italian winery can boast the history, prestige, and vision of Marchesi Frescobaldi. A Florentine family dedicated for thirty generations and for over 700 years to the production of great wines, with the constant goal of being the most prestigious Tuscan producer. A reality that has always believed in respecting the territory, focuses on the excellence of its grapes, invests in communication and the professionalism of human resources without ever forgetting respect for tradition and openness to research and experimentation. In 1855, they were the first in Tuscany to plant Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Pinot Noir, and Chardonnay, in the estates of Nipozzano and Pomino. In 1894, they built in Pomino, not far from Florence, the first Italian winery capable of using natural gravity for transferring from barrels and distinguished themselves, during the same period, for the introduction of “specialized vineyard”. In 1989, they acquired the Castelgiocondo estate in Montalcino and in 1995 inaugurated the Tenuta Luce della Vite in Montalcino, to which the Tenuta Conti Attems in Friuli was added in 2000. Recent bright projects include the management of the Tenuta dell’Ornellaia in Bolgheri in 2005, and in 2011 the inauguration of the modern winery of Ammiraglia in Maremma. All wines labeled “Marchesi Frescobaldi” are born from passion, experience, skill, and love for a chosen territory, Tuscany, which has become the ideal cradle of wines of the highest quality. With a vineyard surface that currently approaches one thousand hectares, and an annual production of around seven million bottles, from the Chianti area to Pomino, from Montalcino to Maremma, the perfect knowledge of the environment and the uniqueness of the terroirs ensure constant quality and a pronounced personality of the wines, all - without exception - exceptional.
