Amarone della Valpolicella Classico 'Costasera' by Masi is a rich and elegant red wine, an expression of the Amarone tradition according to Masi's style. The grapes Corvina, Rondinella, and Molinara come from the west-facing slopes of Valpolicella Classica, the “Coste,” which enjoy excellent sun exposure. After manual harvesting, the grapes are dried for about 120 days in fruit drying rooms, concentrating aromas and sugars. This is followed by a slow fermentation at low temperature and aging in Slavonian and Allier oak barrels for 24 months. On the nose, it offers aromas of cherry in spirits, cinnamon, and cocoa; on the palate, it is structured, velvety, and persistent, with ripe tannins. Perfect with red meats, game, aged cheeses or as a meditation wine.
