THE WINE

It pairs well with red meats, braised venison thigh with blue cabbage, aged cheeses, and mature Parmesan.
THE COMPANY
A winery that for decades has represented the best that South Tyrol can express in terms of finesse and longevity. Founded in 1893 in the homonymous location not far from Merano, the Terlano winery is one of the most advanced producer cooperatives not only in all of South Tyrol but also in the entire Italian Peninsula, to the extent that it can be considered a symbol of the most perfect cooperation mechanism in the wine sector. Its 143 members collectively cultivate 165 hectares of vineyards, resulting in an annual total production that significantly exceeds one million bottles. Jaw-dropping numbers that go hand in hand with the best wines of the region, both white and red, capable of consistently satisfying both the public and critics alike. As Antonio Galloni of Wine Advocate stated in 2011: “The best wines from Alto Adige I tasted this year come from Cantina Terlano. In short, they are benchmark wines. Wines that cannot be missing from any important cellar.” A path, that of absolute quality, which the members of the Terlano Winery have confidently pursued over the decades, earning them fame and recognition in the Italian and international wine markets. In short, names that over the years have rightly earned international prestige and notoriety, transforming the Terlano winery into a true institution not only of Alto Adige wine but of the entire Italian wine landscape.
