The 'Lowengang' Uvaggio Storico by Alois Lageder comes from the best plots of vines in the Löwengang vineyard, which are among the oldest in South Tyrol: they are about 145 years old. This important red is a blend of Carmenère, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Petit Verdot. Spontaneous fermentation of the crushed grapes, with different percentages of whole clusters. Aging in large and small wooden barrels. It is followed by bottle aging for several months. The bouquet is intense, finely fruity (raspberry, blackberry, cherry), spicy, earthy with smoky notes. On the palate, there is a vigorous structure, a balanced wine, rich in refined aromas, delicately bitter, and rigorous. It has an optimal aging potential of 5 to 20 years. Excellent.
