Feudi di San Gregorio
In the heart of Campania, a land rich in history and millenary traditions, stands the renowned winery Feudi di San Gregorio. A true beacon for modern enology in Southern Italy, this winery stands out for its ability to blend elegance and authenticity, celebrating the peculiarities of indigenous grape varieties. The Irpinia Valley is the natural stage where Fiano, Greco, and Aglianico find their maximum expression, giving life to wines that can tell the story of their homeland with every sip.
The production philosophy of Feudi di San Gregorio is a symphony of tradition and innovation. With a constant focus on enhancing the territory, the company adopts environmentally friendly cultivation methods, combining ancient techniques with the most modern enological practices. The result is wines that not only reflect the Campanian terroir but also enhance it, bottling the history and character of a unique region.
Among the standout labels are Serpico and Pietracalda, two wines that embody the philosophy of Feudi di San Gregorio. Serpico, with its pure Aglianico, presents itself as a wine of extraordinary complexity and power, capable of evolving magnificently over time. Pietracalda, a Fiano di Avellino DOCG, amazes with its freshness and floral aromas, a true celebration of the elegance and refinement of the grape variety.

FEUDISTUDI
Campania viticulture is nothing but the result of many "small stories" made by populations that have preserved the oldest traditions, a mosaic composed of communities, valleys, and hills, memories and cultures that history has consolidated over time. The wines of a land are not merchandise but stories of life. They express the hills from which they originated, narrating the tales of the men who have created them, generation after generation.
The wines of FeudiStudi are the children of the desire to tell ‐ with uncompromising choices in winemaking and aging by Pierpaolo Sirch ‐ the richness of our most expressive vineyards, selected each year from our 700 owned vineyards based on the characteristics of the vintage.
Each year, the wines will therefore be unique pieces, produced in limited runs (about 2,000 bottles) and not intended for traditional commercial channels. We have chosen an exclusive bottle, a re-edition of the first Bordeaux bottles from the 17th century, and we started with two iconic vineyards of Fiano, and in the following years, we have also identified special vineyards of Greco and Aglianico.
THE WINE
The Taurasi 'Candriano' FeudiStudi from Feudi di San Gregorio is the Barolo of the south, as it is called by enthusiasts, the Campanian Taurasi DOCG. Deep red, it captivates the nose and palate with a wave of warm aromas, a smoky finish, and full-bodied, rounded flavors, leaving one in awe of the elegance of its tannic structure. After fermentation in steel, it is aged for 20 months in barrique. A perfect bottle for an evening centered around meat.
THE COMPANY
A young company in a land of great traditions
Founded in 1986, Feudi di San Gregorio is today the symbol of the oenological renaissance of southern Italy and a drinking culture aimed at rediscovering the identity of Mediterranean flavors. Safeguarding tradition while seeking all its potentials. Enhancing the grape varieties of Southern Italy such as Aglianico, Fiano di Avellino, and Greco di Tufo, investing in the land and the centuries-old tradition of Irpinia viticulture, restoring a future to a unique environmental heritage. Today, Feudi di San Gregorio is - and aims to be even more - a place of meeting, discussion, knowledge, and meditation, a laboratory of ideas and culture.
The Vineyards
In Irpinia - a land of ancient winemaking tradition - the vineyards have always coexisted with fruit trees, woods, olive trees, and aromatic herbs. In other words, they have always been part of our lives. The original core of the vineyards of Feudi di San Gregorio is located in the Sorbo Serpico area, where the winery stands; over time, the vineyards of Tufo, Taurasi, and Santa Paolina have joined, nestled on hills between 350 and 700 meters above sea level. Thus, we have grown from about 30 hectares initially to over 300 today.
Beyond Campania
The spirit that animates Feudi di San Gregorio could not but lead it to look beyond its original boundaries: a project with which the company wants to retrace - in territorial contexts different from Irpinia, but equally challenging and forgotten - its experience while respecting the peculiarities of the new environment. Hence our arrival in Vulture, in Basilicata, and in the Manduria area, in Puglia.
