Passito Naturale di Pantelleria DOC 'Nes' 2023 (500 ml. boxed) Pellegrino

Nes Passito Naturale di Pantelleria is a naturally sweet wine made from Zibibbo grapes grown using the traditional alberello pantesco method, a UNESCO-recognized heritage practice, on the island’s volcanic soils. The finest bunches are sun-dried on racks, naturally concentrating sugars and aromas. Harvest takes place between the 2nd and 3rd decade of September, followed by gentle pressingslow fermentation with the addition of dried grapes, and 10 months of ageing in stainless steel. The result is an amber-colored wine with antique gold highlights, offering extraordinary aromatic richness, with notes of apricot, honey, dried fruit, citrus, and Mediterranean herbs. On the palate, it is smooth, sweet, and fresh, with a rich, enveloping mouthfeel and a long, persistent finish. Perfect with desserts or blue cheeses. Tenuta Sibà, a symbol of an ethical pact with over 350 local growers.

Color: Deep amber with golden and copper reflections, with remarkable visual density. The brilliance and consistency in the glass announce a rich and concentrated wine.

Bouquet: Intense and enveloping, with an extraordinary aromatic complexity. Notes of dried apricot, dates, dried figs, candied orange peel and orange blossom honey emerge, intertwined with hints of Mediterranean aromatic herbs, sweet spices such as cinnamon and nutmeg, and a touch of sea salt and resin, which evokes the volcanic and insular nature of the Pantelleria terroir.

Taste: Dense, round and harmonious, with a sweetness that is never excessive, balanced by a lively freshness and a decisive flavor. The texture is velvety, the citrus and spicy hints re-emerge in a long, elegant and persistent finish, with a closure that leaves the palate clean and satisfied.
