The 'Old Tom' Gin by Hernö is made with carefully selected natural organic ingredients. It is a London Dry Gin with the addition of Meadow and after dilution to 43% with a touch of sugar. The addition of sugar enriches the floral notes, releases those of juniper, and makes the gin even smoother.

Herno
In a land that evokes fairy-tale landscapes, among unspoiled forests and crystal-clear lakes, lies the Herno distillery, a gem of Sweden that has managed to transform its Nordic roots into one of the purest and most awarded expressions of gin in the world. Founded with a clear vision and an innate passion for craftsmanship, Herno stands out from the common world of wine to proudly establish itself in the international landscape of spirits.
In the heart of the Swedish region, where nature reigns supreme, Herno is dedicated to creating gin that reflects the very essence of the territory. Carefully selected juniper berries are combined with a variety of natural botanicals, all grown using organic methods, to ensure unparalleled quality. The water used, pure and clear, comes directly from local springs, giving the gin a distinctive and authentic character.
The Herno Dry Gin, the distillery's flagship label, is a tribute to purity and elegance. Its fresh and vibrant aromas, enriched by notes of juniper and delicate botanical nuances, offer a unique sensory experience, capable of transporting those who taste it directly to the Swedish forests. This gin is not just a drink, but a journey through a landscape of rare beauty, told through a distilled excellence.

THE GIN

THE DISTILLERY
In 1999, Jon Hillgren, along with some friends, set off for London to work as a bartender. Here he discovered gin, which piqued his interest to the extent that he delved into distillation methods and techniques, which Hillgren learned, even pursuing academic studies. This is how the “Hernö Gin Distillery” was born in 2011, located in the city of Härnösand, Sweden. Inside a traditional Swedish house, painted white and red with a wooden floor, sits “Kierstin,” the handmade copper still affectionately nicknamed. Using certified and exclusively organic products, the Hernö distillery, the only gin distillery in Sweden, produces its distillates following the “one-shot” method, certainly complex and costly, but which ensures that the final product has a decidedly superior quality.
