Champagne AOC Brut 'Selection' (Magnum 1.5 L) Roger Barnier

The Champagne Brut Selection by Roger Barnier is the non-vintage cuvée of this maison. The wine is produced in Sézanne in the Marne valley. It is a blend of 58% Chardonnay, 10% Pinot Noir, and 32% Pinot Meunier. The reserve red wines are kept in steel while the Chardonnay is aged in barrels. It has a minimum of 24 months on the lees and at least 4 months of resting after disgorgement. Aromas of apple, light vegetal notes, fruity and fresh finish with remarkable aromatic persistence. A good mineral percentage from the Chardonnay, but softened with aging. Fresh and elegant, it is excellent as an aperitif or paired with delicate dishes throughout the meal.
