The Champagne Brut 'Vieille Vigne' by J. Clement is made with 70% Pinot Meunier and 30% Pinot Noir from the estate located in the municipality of Reuis, in the Marne Valley. The vines are 40 years old, and the harvest takes place in mid-September, where whole bunches are hand-picked. Soft pressing, cold decantation, and the use of selected yeasts are employed. Aging on the lees for 7 years before disgorging. It presents a bouquet of ripe fruit notes such as peach, pear, and quince, buttery notes, and brioche, with light toasted and spicy notes on the finish, along with a pleasant oxidative note. On the palate, it is fresh and structured, fruity and slightly floral, with spicy hints and delicate oxidative notes on the finish. Elegant and complex, with excellent persistence.
