Ansonica or Insolia

Ansonica is an Italian white grape variety, also known under the names of Inzolia (in Sicilian), nzoglia (in Calabria) or Insolia. It has southern origins but is also widespread in other Italian regions such as Tuscany, especially the Island of Elba and Monte Argentario. The bunch is large but with rather sparse berries. The harvest takes place around the first fifteen days of September.
