Nuragus di Cagliari
The Nuragus grape is still the most cultivated in Sardinia, although with a gradual tendency to a reduction in surfaces. The vine is present above all in the provinces of Cagliari and Oristano where it covers an area of about 3,300 hectares. Its origin is very ancient and is probably due to the Phoenician navigators who first reached the island. The notable diffusion that this vine has had in past years, is to be sought in its rusticity, in its adaptability to every type of soil and, above all, in its productive generosity.
