Gruner Veltliner 'Rigger' by Griesserhof is produced from pure native grapes, grown at about 800 meters above sea level on alluvial and stony soils, in Alto Adige in the vineyard of the same name. Only the best bunches are used and then vinified according to the most modern standards of viticulture. After fermentation, it is aged on the fine lees for 10 months in tonneau and then for 3 months in the bottle to enhance its freshness and liveliness. The result is a wine that excites with its intense, fresh and acidulous bouquet, with aromas of white peach and tropical fruits. It is soft and persistent on the palate. The Veltliner has a peppery aroma, with hints of green apple and a delicately bitterish aftertaste. An unforgettable tasting experience. Ideal for fish and seafood dishes, fresh vegetable and Asian dishes, an excellent choice for fresh and goat cheeses.

Griesserhof
In the heart of the Isarco Valley, among the northernmost vineyards of Alto Adige, lies the Griesserhof estate, a company led with passion and vision by Paul Huber. Here, amidst breathtaking landscapes and a unique microclimate, a wine production dedicated to excellence is born, where the declared objective is only one: to create wines with character, authentic and territorial.
The origins of this extraordinary agricultural company are rooted… in the Ice Age. It was in fact the slow retreat of the glaciers that left a legacy of fertile moraine soils rich in mineral substances, on which today white varieties with an intense aromatic profile and vibrant freshness grow. Alongside them, there is also space for expressions of Zweigelt and Pinot Noir, capable of surprising with their elegance and typicality.
The estate includes three main vineyards: Gols, Gall and Rigger. The Gols vineyard, located in the valley floor and embraced by the historic farm, is witness to a centuries-old tradition: the first evidence of cultivation dates back to the 14th century, as attested by documents from the Novacella Abbey. On these sandy and silty soils, Huber proudly cultivates his best Sylvaner, a grape variety that expresses minerality and precision in a unique way here.
At 800 meters above sea level is the Gall vineyard, home of Kerner, which here benefits from cool temperature ranges and intense brightness. In the warm Val Riga, however, Veltliner dominates: a wine of great expressiveness, rich, aromatic and full of energy.
Vino45 is proud to welcome the Griesserhof estate into its selection, an emblem of authentic and respectful Alpine viticulture, capable of recounting with finesse the most elegant face of Alto Adige. Every bottle signed Paul Huber is an invitation to discover wines that are born from the earth and speak with the voice of the mountains.
