The Barbera 'Territorio' by Claudio Mariotto is a red wine that originates from the Colli Tortonesi area, a region in Piedmont almost at the border with Liguria, where this historic grape variety expresses itself with intense and pleasantly rich wines. The vineyards are cultivated without the use of chemical fertilizers, herbicides, or systemic products. It is a version of Barbera that presents a good aromatic complexity. Aged for 12 months in steel tanks and at least 6 months in the bottle. Fruity, delicate, and abundant when young. It exudes aromas of tobacco and strawberry. Its remarkable structure gives rise to fragrances of red fruits and sour cherries. Pleasant and full-bodied, it has a scent of almonds. Full-bodied, rich, and very typical, it pairs perfectly with body structure and spirit.

Claudio Mariotto
In the fascinating and little-explored lands of the Colli Tortonesi, in the heart of Piedmont, lies the winery Claudio Mariotto. A refuge of tradition and innovation where the art of winemaking intertwines with the passion and dedication of a family that has made Timorasso its banner. Guided by the expert hand of Claudio, the winery stands as one of the main promoters of this ancient variety, a white grape that has its roots in the past and, thanks to the vision of Mariotto, has returned to shine in the present.
The DOC Colli Tortonesi denomination is a hymn to a unique territory, where the soft hills and limestone soils give rise to wines that tell stories of authenticity and character. Here, among the meticulously cared-for rows, Timorasso and Barbera are primarily cultivated, two varieties that represent the soul of this region. The production philosophy of Claudio Mariotto is a perfect blend of tradition and experimentation, always with a keen eye on quality and respect for nature.
Timorasso, in particular, finds its highest expression in Derthona, a wine that enchants with its structure and longevity. This white wine stands out for its complexity and depth, with mineral and fruity notes that evolve beautifully over time, offering an unforgettable sensory experience. Barbera, cultivated with the same care, produces rich and vibrant wines, authentic expressions of a territory that knows how to surprise.
