Toscana Rosso 'Schidione' by Tenuta Castello di Montepò, owned by Jacopo Biondi Santi, is made on the splendid hills in the Scansano area. This is an incredible Supertuscan, obtained from a blend of Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot vinified separately. The resulting wine then ages in French wooden barriques for approximately 24 months, followed by a further 6 in stainless steel vats. Deep red, elegant and complex, with a pleasant olfactory impact of cherries in jam and ripe red fruits, with aromas of undergrowth and vanilla in the background. When tasted, it stands out with a full and well-structured body, characterized by velvety and tasty tannins. To be kept for special occasions, thanks to a longevity of over 40 years.

The winery is located in one of the most fascinating areas of Tuscany, known for its wild beauty and ability to produce wines with a strong personality.
In this sun-kissed land, the Sangiovese and Cabernet Sauvignon vineyards find the ideal habitat to express their full potential. The IGT Toscana designation allows for a certain stylistic freedom, which Jacopo Biondi Santi leverages to create wines that tell stories of passion and commitment.
