The Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru 'Les Chaumes' by Jérôme Chézeaux is produced in the Côte de Nuits, in one of the most renowned villages of Burgundy, Vosne-Romanée. It is a pure Pinot Noir from vineyards that are 45 years old, from a terroir at an altitude of 220-240 meters characterized by limestone marl soils that give the grapes a beautiful aromatic complexity and an extraordinarily elegant structure. Traditional vinification and aging in oak barrels (30% new) for 15-18 months before bottling. Very elegant bouquet, soft, good tannin and acidity. On the palate, aromas of spices, licorice, rose, toasted bread, and cocoa. Total production only 1,200 bottles per year.

THE COMPANY
The Domaine Jérôme Chézeaux was built from the foundations of the historic domaine of Julien Missery. Bernard Chezeaux acquired the property in 1971, initially supplying the grapes to local negociants. With his death in 1993, the domaine passed to his son Jérome, who began bottling the domaine's own wine. The property is located in the municipality of Prémeaux-Prissey, south of Nuits Saint Georges, and has expanded by an additional 12 hectares owned by Jérome's wife, Pierrette. The vineyards, impeccably maintained and cultivated using sustainable agriculture, are scattered across the villages of Prémeaux, Nuits Saint Georges, Vougeot, and Vosne Romenée and include some of the most prestigious lieu-dits of the area. Jérome Chézeau faithfully follows tradition and a non-interventionist method in the cellar. The purity of his wines is revealing, there is a sober magnificence in all his bottles.
