THE ESTATE
The Domaine Louis Fleurot is a historic winery in Burgundy, located in the prestigious town of Nuits-Saint-Georges. It was founded in 1810, but for years, the main activity was that of “tonnellerie,” meaning the manual construction of oak barrels. The generations that followed have increasingly valued the winemaking activity, and today only the highest quality barrels are produced for use in the winery, without commercializing them. A family of skilled coopers, known as “tonnelier” in French, has thus become a point of reference for excellent red wines from Burgundy over time.
The Louis Fleurot winery is still family-run today and is considered one of the historic realities of Nuits-Saint-Georges, with vineyards spread across 12 different AOC denominations, including Nuits-Saint-Georges and Vosne-Romanée. In these parcels of land, Pinot Noir reaches unique quality peaks in the world, expressing itself in very prestigious and elegant labels. The owner Denis Bazart personally oversees the agronomic and oenological management, backed by a long family tradition that has been able to enhance the territory, distinguishing itself in the French landscape for a strong territorial imprint.
