The vinification involves long maceration and a total aging of 60 months, of which 36 in large oak barrels and 24 in bottle. THE COMPANY
The history of the winery Massolino began in 1896, the year Giovanni founded the company in Serralunga d'Alba. However, the first actual winery was built by Giuseppe, Giovanni's son, who, along with his sister Angela, expanded the property by acquiring more land and in 1934 founded the Consortium for the protection of Barolo and Barbaresco. Giovanni, Camilla, and Renato, three of Giuseppe's children, brought the company to a turning point, thanks to the purchase of crus that have now become true legends among enthusiasts: Vigna Rionda, Margheria, and Parafada.
Today, the company is led by brothers Franco and Roberto Massolino, assisted by their uncle Renato and Giovanni Angeli. Their work condenses the experience of an entire generation and the ambition of those who know they must honor a historic winery and a unique terroir, that of Serralunga d'Alba. In this picturesque medieval village, located on one of the beautiful hills of the Langhe, in the heart of the Barolo production area, the life of the Massolino winery thrives, now an essential national reference for the production of high-quality wines.
