I was born in Cagliari.

Nasco is one of the oldest white grape varieties of Sardinia. Its name could derive from the typical smell of moss, in Latin "Muscus", from which the Sardinian terms Nuscu, Nascu. Its diffusion limited to the hinterland of the ancient port of Karales (Cagliari) suggests that it arrived on the island through this landing. The Nasco grape gives a wine characterized by a "musky" scent, even better enhanced by the presence of a sugary residue (not by chance the most common type is as a dessert wine, especially fortified wine).

The Nasco di Cagliari 'Iselis' by Argiolas is produced in the vineyards of the Iselis estate. Made with pure Nasco grapes, harvested and selected exclusively by hand. A small fraction of the must ferments and matures in small French oak barrels. Soft and balanced, with hints of yellow flowers and tropical fruit. Perfect with rice, fish, and white meats.
