Pinotage Bianco 2022 (750 ml.) Aaldering
The Pinotage Bianco from Aaldering Vineyards & Wines originates in the South African region of Stellenbosch, one of the most suitable areas in the country. The Pinotage is the indigenous grape variety of South Africa par excellence, a cross between Pinot Noir and Cinsaut, and in this label, it is vinified as a white wine. The must remains in contact with the skins for a maximum of 15 minutes, giving the wine a slightly coppery color and a delicate ‘blush’. Fermentation is carried out with selected yeasts in stainless steel tanks to preserve the original aromas and freshness. The wine rests on the lees for 5 months with pump-overs done twice a week for the first two months. A white wine with fruity aromas of peach and banana, good structure and body, with a smooth finish. Annual production 3,000 bottles.

THE COMPANY
Aaldering Vineyards & Wines, founded in 2004 by the Dutch couple Marianne and Fons Aaldering, is located in Stellenbosch, one of the premier wine regions, in the Cape Winelands district, Western Cape province, surrounded by the peace and tranquility of the vineyards and only 45 km from the city of Cape Town. The terroir is that of the Devon Valley, particularly the Hutton area (characterized by soil rich in granite, reddish-brown in color due to the presence of iron oxide hydrate) and Clovelly (similar soil to Hutton but more clayey). This area is well known for the quality of red wines produced from grape varieties: Pinotage, Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot, the same ones cultivated by the winery. The wines are produced with great care and passion, with the assistance of a reliable and dedicated staff. Both organic and biodynamic farming elements are used, favoring organic products and seeking to minimize chemical inputs as much as possible, making the most of what nature has to offer.
